Don't Be Deceived

I put together
this study on deception. This study is very important, I was
almost deceived before I knew scripture. I'm glad my wife knew some because she
told me this guy was wrong. The things this person told me were so off the wall
and I was buying in to it. Let me go as far to say don't be deceived, if
something goes against these scriptures believe it not. I've learned a lot since
that time, by reading the Bible daily! I used my bible's concordance to find
these scriptures.
"And Jesus
answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall
come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear
of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things]
must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these [are] the beginning of sorrows. Then
shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be
hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and
shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets
shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love
of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be
saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Matthew 24:4-14 (KJV)
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. "Be not deceived; God is
not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that
soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to
the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in
well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have
therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all [men], especially unto them who
are of the household of faith. Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you
with mine own hand. As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they
constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for
the cross of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the
law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. But
God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by

"That we [henceforth] be no
more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things,
which is the head, [even] Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together
and compacted by that which
every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of
every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as
other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding
darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in
them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given
themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have
been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the
former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful
lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new
man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore
putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members
one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your
wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but
rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he
may have to give to him that needeth. Let no corrupt communication proceed out
of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may
minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby
ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and
anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

"But evil men and seducers
shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in
the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom
thou hast learned [them]; And that from a child thou hast known the holy
scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which
is in Christ Jesus. All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is]
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all

"If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his

"Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, [then] have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
