A Hidden Work

Bible Version: King James
Ecc. 3:1 for everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.
With the change of the season I am finding just as in the natural so in the spirit is more then just words. Spring what a beautiful time of year and for me especially so this year; as it is signing the end to one chapter and bringing forth a new one as I begin a job I went after believing it would occur but had to let it go; only to find in the right time the door open wide for what I have a been prepared to do.
Isa. 43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither the former things of old. Behold I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
My point what we think and what the Lord has in mind are often at opposite ends of the earth as well as how he will and does accomplish his plan in us. Thinking there may never be a change and yet forgetting we are called to a continual place of trial by fire the next verse says: Isa. 43:19 I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Looking at the word wilderness it points too: an uninhabited place. It also refers to desolate, deserted, and lonely. I am not sure how many of us would admit that those places we assume others or activities/works should fill are actually the uninhabited places of our heart that the Lord would desire to occupy first and foremost.
Thankfully he is merciful drawing us each to a new level of faith; becoming our comfort in all things…removing all doubt that he has our best interests at heart.
Jer. 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you a hope and a future.
Coming back to the first verse: everything in season; it means to keep watch, to take time for; which to me means only one thing a timely focused waiting on the Lord…which is different in each of us in expression while at the same time one.
1Sam.16:7 For the Lord sees not as man sees; for the man looks on the outward appearance and the Lord looks on the heart.
1Cor. 2:9 For no eye hath seen nor ear heard no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love HIM.
In closing: What I take from this experience is one thing and one thing alone: When the union in a marriage becomes an experience and not just knowledge of it is a place of rest that is like none other. I do not pretend to think I have arrived; yet I am at peace for I am my beloved and his desire is for me/us. Amen and Amen.
