The Sound of Him within

Bible Version: King James
Holdfast the form of sound words which thou hast heard of me in faith and love which is Jesus Christ. 2 Tim 1:13
Of late I have been on a quest if you will…looking for a door out and at the same time for a door in. The one going out being an escape from all that would keep one from the door that leads one within. Interestingly it is in that process of fervor to turn and break up the fallow ground has become as an all consuming fire.
This led me to open the book and do a study on the word door. If you look at the word in the vines it describes a door as metaphorically being Jesus Christ., of faith and openings for preaching and teaching the word; an entrance into the Kingdom. It also mentions door as an entrance into a repentant believer’s heart; and finally an access to behold the visions relative to Gods purpose. Acts 16:26-27, Acts 5:19, 23, Matt 24:33, Rev. 4:1
Rev. 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Several years ago I had a vision of a woman in a prison cell looking down then in the next window I saw a dove enter and as the wings went faster and faster they encompassed the cell and I could see the woman no more. The last window was the woman looking up and seeing the cell door was open. Many weeks passed and I went to a seminar at a counseling agency when I sat down in the room I noted a picture on the wall with the same image as I have just described that was pained there. At the time I was stunned at the occurrence but now looking back I see it was the Lord opening to me discernment about the inner things in him that only he can give. We need vision to run this race just as many of the prison like circumstances has an open door if we will just look up. Rev.3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
In a recent service I was given a word of encouragement about the butterfly that is kicking its way thru the cocoon and in that process of receiving the word I was also given the understanding that when we kick thru the cocoon disappears and the creature that was is no more. I see in my own life that I have been given a new way to abide, to experience life in the spirit but keep myself imprisoned to that old habitation by letting my own understanding of what should be could be would be or thinking according to this worlds standard; color what is pure and rare.
Returning to what led me on this quest I am compelled to share one more thought…In a day when no one seems to holdfast to nothing, but to having their way I am mindful that the commitment to sound word is especially timely. Looking at the word it means to proclaim or order by a sound and the sensation experienced thru a sense of hearing. And hearing means the process, function or power of perceiving sound. What a gift when we bring that into the spirit and realize the gift we are to stir up is the voice within that is sounding like a trumpet: today is the day and now is the time to seek the Lord while he can be found; as a voice in the wilderness that says this is the way walk ye in it. Bless the Lord, His comforter has come. He who has an ear let him here what the spirit is saying.
