Starting Your Day

1. Ps 143:10 "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing." NLT

I found that the first thing to do to start a good day is to pray this verse at the very first time I open my eyes in the morning. Reading and meditating on this verse, I found three important things that lift me up the whole day and I would like to share this with all of you.

a. "Teach me to do your will." Is a act of surrendering my self to His will and I am willing to do it for His glory not my glory.

b. "For you are my God." Acknowledging Him that He is my one and only God in my life. Not my job, money, wife, kids, car...

c. "May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing." I need His guidance in my life. I need God every moment in my life.

2. Ps 118:24 "This is the day has the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be gland in it." NLT

Almost everybody knows this old song....I always sing a Praise and/or worship song in my car, house and/or everywhere I go. I found out that it has a power to change the atmosphere around you.

I saw two important things in this verse.

a. "This is the day has the Lord has made." Remembering that everyday is a good day. Why? I'm glad you ask. Because God made it. Think about that!!! Well I'll give you one good example in the freeway around 0545 traffic jam. I know that you know exactly I'm talking about. There was a young guy behind me. One day and I believe that he was in Harry so am I. Well I can't drive fast enough, the traffic speed is about 15mph and lucky if I hit 20mph on that moment. This YG behind me is honking at me revving his engine and so on. To make a long story short he cut me off on the free way and he said "get off the F----- road you m/f Asian driver!"

b. "We will rejoice and be glad in it." Every day I have to make my decision to be rejoice and be glad walking and being obedient to God not to be a complainer, problem maker, loner, sad and no joy at all. God don't want us to live our life miserable! God wants us to be rejoicing everyday and to live a peaceable life!

con't. of my story: I have 2 choices to pick. 1. To get angry and cut him off too or 2. Give it to God all the situation. Hmmmmm. (Remember in my car, I'm always listening a Sermon, Gospel music and or praise and worship.)

What I did was I picked the 2nd choice.
I gave it to God, and let him go. Guess what I did was I'd make Satan mad at me, why? Because I did not let him  steal the joy and peace that God gave to me. If I let Satan steal my joy and peace, I tell you what my whole day or maybe whole week of that month is ruin because of that situation. But my day ended up so sweet. I thank God for allowing these things happen to test my faith for Him and go forward to the next level of faith.

I learned that by doing this daily, I crucify my self daily. Is it easy? No!!! But I'd rather please the Creator than the creation.

Well, I hope this message will fill your heart with His word. Following God will is not easy. You can go back in the Bible and check it out that every body that is willing to be used by God in His kingdom they know that it's never easy at all. Just keep in mind that If we have God, we've got everything. "Do not seek the blessing but seek the Blesser."

I will keep praying for the people that are seeking God that they will grow in their faith and knowledge of God in their life and May God use them in His Kingdom. I will give all the glory, honor, and praise in the Mighty Holy Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Christ,
Gene
