God's Spirit.

John 3:34 (NIV)
For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the SPIRIT
without limit.

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the
SPIRIT by measure.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
For God has not given us a SPIRIT of fear, but of power and of love and of a
sound mind.
These scriptures tell us a lot about God's spirit. It is a
gift, given to us. John 3:34 as well as other scriptures in the Bible I don't
really need to mention, describe the way God gives His spirit. He gives it the
same way I cook, He pours all of it in! The amazing thing about God's spirit is
even though all of God's spirit has been given to me, it has also all been given
to everyone else! All of God's spirit is in many different people at the same
time, this is because God is an omnipresent being. He can be everywhere all at
the same time, and be in each place at His fullest. This is something beyond the
understanding of men, so don't even try to ask me how God does it, couldn't tell
you. Anyways, moving on. 2 Timothy 1:7 says that God's spirit is a spirit of
power, of love, and of a sound mind. This, put together with the other
scriptures total meaning give us the assurance that God has give us limitless
power and love. He has also given us the ability to speak up, and make a
difference all the time. If you ever feel insignificant, like nothing you do
ever matters, your just being deceived, resist those doubts with the word of
God. Just remember, God does not take a measuring cup out and say, "This guy has
sinned today, He only gets this much of my spirit, if I give him any." God is
not like that, He doesn't limit what He gives you by your mistakes, your sin
becomes like a big shield against the blessings of God when you commit them, God
is always pouring out His spirit upon you, and pouring His blessings out on you,
but with that dark shield over you, you can't receive what God is sending your
way.
Stop holding up that evil shield, called sin, and start holding onto the shield of Faith instead. This shield allows God's blessings to come through to you, and keeps out the sin. It is important in your love walk to carry a shield of faith, it keeps you from sin, and helps you perform miracles in the sight of all men. The works of faith, and of love, are your two greatest testimonies. Without these two, your walk with Jesus is no more than religion, and you don't just want to be religious. Well, now that I have gotten a little off track, back to the point. Even if God only gave a part of His spirit to you, you would still have unlimited power, as well as unlimited love. God is an "over achiever" in a way, because no matter what He does, He does it to the ultimate fullest, if that is even truly a word. There is no real word to explain God's nature, the Bible so far has some of the best descriptions I have heard so far. Exs: "Unfailing Love", "Everlasting Life", and many more.
These are just a few of the examples of
God's "over achievements". God's spirit is an "over achiever" in itself, when
used to it's fullest, it is a very powerful spiritual weapon. (like the hydrogen
bomb, which is even stronger than the atom bomb.) God's spirit can wipe out
millions of demons in one blow! It's a powerful weapon that cannot go into the
wrong hands, for God does not give his spirit to the evil, but only to the good.
We have learned a lot in this study, but now I have to top it off. God's spirit
is quite literally the only gift that keeps on truly giving. Unlimited Power and
Love have been given to you by God, use it to its fullest, showing God you truly
appreciate His gift. He's always there with you, and if you let Him, he'll lead
you the way you need to go with His spirit. He wants to help, you just have to
step aside, and allow Him to have full authority in your life.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We have your word as a true testimony to us that your spirit has been given to
us willingly and without limit. We believe that your spirit gives us the power
and love we need to live the Godly life we are supposed to live. We also
believe, Lord God, that your spirit leads us in the way of truth, and speaks
through our mouth to the lost people of this world, showing them the path that
leads to eternal life. We thank you for this freely given gift, for it gives us
strength to carry on, and power to perform your awesome miracles, strengthening
our testimony to men, as well as strengthening our own faith in you. We receive
your spirit with joy, in Jesus' name, Amen.
