Toby's Prayer

"Hope and Happiness"

God I know your busy and I'm so small
but would you please listen to my call?

I look to the heavens for hope and happiness,
Because here there is only pain and sadness.
It hurts to be all alone and not know why,
I wish I could talk to someone, but I'm so
scared and shy.

I stand alone in a strange and scary place,
With tears running down my face.
What have I done wrong and why am I here,
If I say I'm sorry will you take away the fear?

Do you think there are other kids like me,
And is this the way you meant it to be?
Can you send someone for me who will care,
And be willing to help me make others aware?

Please understand I don't want to be alone,
I want to be loved, to be part of a family.
And to have happiness of my own!
