God Is Holding Onto Us!

Thursday's Devotion (6-26-08)

"For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." Isaiah 41:13 (KJV)

What a comforting verse! I think if we always thought of this verse, and think of the Lord holding our right hand everywhere we go, it'd be a lot easier to trust in Him as we should! Imagine everywhere you go the Lord is there, holding onto you. Thinking of that should make you feel pretty safe!

Some of the things I do might be considered, "crazy." For example I've been told that it isn't good to go on walks after midnight on dark trails... That's all fine and dandy for someone who's scared. I have no reason to be scared, the Lord is holding onto me with a tight grip! People live in fear, but they're not really living. If you feel like going for a walk at 1am then go for a walk! Trust the Lord. I figure that I'd rather live instead of being afraid. How many of you truly believe that the Lord is in control of your destiny? If you are meant to be alive tomorrow then the Lord will make sure you'll be alive tomorrow, and there's nothing you can do about it. If you're meant to go home with Jesus tonight then it doesn't matter if you go out or stay in, or what you do! Your fate is pre-determined and it's in God's hands. People think that they can prevent God's Will by doing or not doing something. Stop worrying and just trust in Jesus! We can't say that we trust Jesus completely, unless we trust Him with our fate, our destiny. If we think that we are in control of whether we die or whether we live then we're not trusting Him. That's my opinion anyway.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to trust in you and not to fear anyone or anything other than you. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless!
