The Devil’s Going Down!

Friday's Devotion (6-12-08)

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Revelation 20:10 (KJV)

I love this verse because it speaks in a past tense... It's as good as done! The devil that torments us, and deceives us, and does all those other evil things against us IS going to get his. He's going to pay for his evil. For those of you who actually think that the devil has a chance, just read this verse one more time! The devil is going down, it's been written and so it shall come to pass.

This verse is really something to take comfort in, because when the devil is gone... When he's out of our hair forever then we'll have peace, we'll have joy that cannot be taken from us. We'll be made perfect in the image of Christ as we should be and all of our troubles will be gone, they won't even be remembered! I've said in the past that all of our troubles can't be blamed on the devil, we cause our own problems by doing bad things that have bad consequences. However, it all goes back to the devil really.... If he wasn't there, there wouldn't be anyone to tempt us to do those bad things! We wouldn't even think to do it, he is the root of all our problems because if he was gone then everything would be perfect... And it WILL BE! He will be gone and I for one take comfort in that, because he gives me a lot of grief. I just hope that people will see the light and come to Jesus, so that they don't have to go with that devil to the lake of fire and brimstone.

Even Satanists have to see that Satan is a liar. They have to see that everything God has said shall be done has been done. His record is perfect. The devil will fail once more and he will burn for eternity, but we don't have to be stupid and go with him! Let's go to the winning team, let's look at the records. I'll never understand anyone who decides to follow Satan. What joy or hope is there knowing that you will burn with the devil? I beg you to change your decision and follow Jesus, but I can't make you.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Please help us to give you our all Lord, and use us to free the deceived from the grip that Satan has on them. And thank you for the victory you give us over the devil. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless!
