Thursday's Devotion (6-11-08)
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion." Leviticus 18:22-23 (KJV)
You know, marriage is something that was established by God as a man and a woman. Now, look at what is happening to marriage? It's being changed by man... Men marrying men, and women marrying women. These unions are not honored by God, but the question is what will happen to marriage next? Will woman being able to marry woman and man marrying man be enough for the world? Maybe next people will want to change marriage between two people and make it between four people? Where is the line drawn?
There's a reason that the verse right after the verses against homosexuality are against bestiality. God was telling us all the sexual acts that we are not to partake in. We hear a lot of stories these days about people having sex with animals. This is wrong! Should they be able to marry animals? I think not! There was a time when people used to go to jail for such acts, but now it seems nobody cares about keeping morals. As a nation (The USA) we are slowly, but surely losing the blessings of God in our country.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to obey your Will for our lives and to know the truth of your Word. Bring repentance to our country and to the world. In Jesus name. A-men!
