Who Do You Trust?

Monday's Devotion (6-9-08)

"He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD." Psalms 112:7 (KJV)

To me this verse always makes me think one thing: NEVER expect bad things! Always trust in the Lord for good things to happen, even when it doesn't seem like they're going to happen. Is it easy? I wish it was, but it isn't. But we must remain positive and trust in Jesus for good things to happen. We must not expect evil in our lives, because if we do then that's what we're going to get. You can either trust in Jesus for good things or you can trust the devil for evil things... Whichever side you trust will deliver. But if you trust in Jesus for good things then you're trusting in the most powerful side and nothing the devil can do will stop Jesus from delivering good things in your life. You just have to trust the Lord!

Negativity is a sign, a sign that we're not trusting the right side... We're not trusting Jesus, but instead we're trusting the devil. Doesn't that just make you want to vomit? The thought of trusting Satan for anything, even bad things is just sickening. A negative attitude is like saying that Satan can actually over-come the will of God for our lives AND HE CAN'T! Satan cannot over-come anything that is sent from God! Never has and never will. Times will come when it looks like Satan is victorious in your life, but just keep the faith because he's got another thing coming! Victory is yours when you're in Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to keep a positive attitude, always trusting you for good things in our lives. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless!
