Decide To Be Happy!
Saturday's Devotion (5-31-08)
"The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want." Proverbs 13:25 (KJV)
The wicked are never satisfied. You often hear people talk about what they would do with a million dollars, but when they get the million dollars they talk about what they'd do with three million dollars! They're never happy. They are never content. If we want happiness we just have to be content with what we have. No amount of money or anything else will make us happy... Just be content with Jesus. He's all you really need.
Being content is easier said than done. We all have needs or wants... It's hard to be content when you need food on the table. It's hard, but we just have to keep Jesus in mind. We have to say, "He'll provide for us!" We have to be thankful and content, and we have to trust the Lord... or else things don't get better. If you want happiness then now is as good of a time for you to be happy as any! Be happy with what you have, JESUS! Decide to be happy.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to trust in you and to be content with what we have. In Jesus name. A-men!
