Let Jesus Take The Wheel
Thursday's Devotion (4-3-08)
"Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" Matthew 6:26 (KJV)
Scriptures like this
always put me into perspective... Because when you look at nature, you have to
see how God provides even for the smallest of creatures. To us a bug is a bug
and it has no importance (That’s why I thank God He’s our God and not one of
us...) but to God that same bug has great value. He created it, it’s one of His
many creatures that He loves and provides for. Even with that being said, WE
(humans) are God’s greatest creations and most prized. He loves us more than any
other creature on earth or angel in Heaven above. That being said, how can He
not provide for our needs? How can He not care for us? How am I going to say
that God doesn’t care about me and my problems? If I thought about it and said
that "God doesn’t care about me," then I would be a liar! Some of us need to
stop lying to ourselves, and start trusting God because He does love you and me.
It’s time for us to
stop worrying about all of our problems, and take a step (or more) back and let
God lead us. It’s like getting on a bus, you know where you’re going, but you
don’t have to worry about driving there! Just sit back and let the driver take
you there. As the song says, "Jesus take the wheel." Just let Him take the wheel
and drive us, and we’ll know that we’ll going to get where we’re going!
God bless!
