It's important that we as believers KNOW the Word of God that nobody can lie to us about it. But even if we know the Word of God, people who twist it are still going out and lying to people who don't know the Word of God. That's why it's important for the true shepards of God's flock to get out there and round up the sheep and tell them the truth. It's sad some people are so deceived by what they want to believe... Deceived by what they want to believe. They're so deceived by it that they go to churches that teach it too. They find other people who are deceived by it too just to feel good about their lies. I mean what Bible reading Christian can TRULY believe that homosexuality is not a sin? The truth on this matter is all throughout the scriptures. I'm not looking to get into that subject, but it was the easiest example of people who are deceived by what they want to believe. The other side of that coin is a good example too... People who believe we should hate someone or a certain group of people (Homosexuals for example.) WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT SAY WE SHOULD HATE ANYONE? I can't find that verse anywhere! It's easy to twist scripture, even easier to get someone who wants to justify their sin to believe your lies. But by lying to them what good are you doing? Think you're going to get a reward for that? You're going to be punished for it! Eternally punished for it, if you don't repent of it. Stop trying re-write God's book to make it more suitable for your lifestyle! Instead start re-writing your lifestyle to fit God's book.
