Get Your Wisdom From God
Tuesday's Devotion (2-26-08)
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
You know since I accepted Christ, studied God's Word and prayed every day.... I honestly feel like a smarter person than I was before. I've learned things that you cannot learn in school, things that you cannot learn unless you're under God's teachings. People have said to me, "You're pretty smart for someone of your age." I can't take credit for that, that's because I've been in God's Word. I honestly believe that if anyone gets into God's Word they'll be wiser because of it. If you want wisdom then get into God's Word and follow the ways of the Lord.
I've seen people with a "worldly," education that have no common sense. If you want to be truly wise then go to the Word of God, because that's where wisdom is. Call on God and ask Him for wisdom and He'll give it. I'm not saying this to insult anyone, but if someone with a college education that thinks they're smart starts studying the Bible and following the Lord... They'll find out that they didn't really know anything until they knew Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Please give us wisdom from you, and help us to know your Word and to follow in your ways always. In Jesus name. A-men!
