Want More?

Monday's Devotion (1-7-08)

"He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity." Ecclesiastes 5:10 (KJV)

People who want and want will never be satisfied. We have to be content with what we have and who we are right now. Right now you may think that a million dollars will make you happy, but once you have it you'll want another million and another, and another... You'll find yourself stressing over earning more money even though you don't actually need it. You'll have things just have them and that won't be enough to make you happy. The only thing we can truly be content in is Jesus and the love of those around us. If we can realize what the important things really are in life then I think a lot more people could find happiness.

Not to mention there are a lot of people in need of things, and a lot of people who have more than they need. Hmm, how can this problem be solved? I think I'm going to leave this one for you guys to figure out and post here. It's a real simple solution, but it's one that I don't believe we'll ever see used on this earth.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Please help us to be content in life and not always wanting more. Don't let us be greedy and selfish. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless!
