Saturday's Devotion (6-16-07)
"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?" Luke 16:10-11 (KJV)
Believe it or not, you can think of God as not just our best friend, but also our employer. We can learn how to handle our own business by the way God handles business, and that's wisely. If you are not trust-worthy concerning the little things, then how can God trust you with great things? He will not put you in a position of leadership unless you are trust-worthy and faithful. However, if you're trust-worthy in even the small things, then God will promote you to the bigger things. Just like a smart employer... A smart employer will not put slackers in charge of the other employees, but a smart employer will put a responsible person in charge! So, if you want God to promote you in His work, and to bless you abundantly then you have to continue to be faithful with what you have, the position you're in! I do not want my ministry to end with this website, I want to do bigger things for the Lord, but I have not been called to do so yet. I am not ready yet, so I must remain faithful with the work at hand. I have not been 100 percent faithful, but I'm going to try and be.
Some of you are just so tired of the positions you're in. Some of you aren't happy with your jobs, so you slack off at work and guess what? You keep the same old position that you're in! You remain unhappy, because you're unfaithful! If you want more, then you have to give more! This goes for every single area in your life, what you give is what you get in return! In other words, if you want a promotion in life then you have to be faithful with what you have. Also, be content. Do not complain, remember the story of Moses and his people. God does not reward complainers, so be content!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to be faithful in all things, and also help us not to complain. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless
