A Message From Karen: Rejoice in the Lord

Monday's Devotion (6-11-07)

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

I was reading the news online like I do weekly to keep up on world events. It is important to keep in touch with the news especially over in Israel. Israel is the time table of God where He shows us prophesies that are being filled. Most of the bible's prophesies have been fulfilled up to the period of the last days. Events will unfold as revealed in the book of Revelations, which reveals the things to come and they are near. When you read such out spoken rebellion to God, such is a common daily event where people have hardened their hearts to all the wickedness that takes place among us throughout the entire world.

I will start to get depressed by all the ugliness that goes on everywhere, but then the Lord is always there to lift me up out from my despair. The Lord will pick me up and fill me with words of encouragement, covering me in His love, holding me with His strength, and feeling me with His peace. The Lord will whisper in my ear "Be still child, for I am here with you, do not be worried for I will be with you at all times to strengthen you when you are weak, to pick you up when you begin to fall. You are my child whom I will never forsake because I love you with a never ending love. I am your every thing and I will provide all your needs if you only ask in my name. I am able, I am, the Lord God Almighty, the beginning (alpha) and the end (omega). I have given you a new name known only to me. I have prepared a place for you my child that is beyond anything you can image, because I am the Lord thy God, and you are mine. You are just a pilgrim passing through here on earth then you will spend eternity of joy in the presence of your King".

When I take my eyes off of Jesus I will always get the same results; emptiness and void on the inside. When I do get side tracked the Lord is always faithful to put me back on course. My prayer today is that we would all choose the path to follow after the ways of Jesus. Jesus laid a foundation for us to follow so that we could have life abundantly in Him, here and now. When you are feeling emotions don't let them rule over you but stand firm in the faith of God and let your faith be ruled by the truth of God's word. Our feelings and emotions can betray us but standing firm by faith in God's word will never betray us. I pray that you listen not to your emotions but to the voice of God. You can hear God voice by reading His Word, by being still meditating on Him, by praying and reaching out to Him, and by thanking Him and praising Him. Reach out to the Lord for He is our King. The Lord is waiting for you to call upon His name! So rejoice in the Lord.

God bless
