Say It Loud & Proud!
Friday's Devotion (6-8-07)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
Here we're told that there are two steps to salvation: First you must believe with all of your heart, secondly you must confess your belief with your mouth. Simply believing in your heart isn't enough, you must confess your belief to the world! If you have yet to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then now's the time to go out and confess it loud and proud. At my wedding (Which was a private ceremony where we didn't invite anyone,) it was not enough that my wife, the county clerk, and myself were there... We needed a witness to make it official! That's where my Mother-In-Law, Karen came in. My point is that our faith is likewise, we need witnesses. I would go as far to say that everyone who meets us should be able to consider themselves a witness of our faith. If you have even the smallest amount of shame when it comes to the Lord, Jesus Christ then you need to get rid of that shame! Denounce it, and just do what you need to do and once you do it, then that shame will have no power over you and it will go away.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to witness to the multitude that we are saved and that you are the Lord! Also, use us greatly to bring many more souls to you. Don't let us be ashamed of our faith in you. In Jesus name.
