Be a Good Sibling!

Tuesday's Devotion (5-8-07)

"And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea." Mark 9:42 (KJV)

You know other believers, turn new believers away from the faith all of the time. They turn them away from Christ in so many ways, the way that I talk about most is the, "Holier than thou," attitude. It makes a new believer feel that they could never live up to this lifestyle, and that's not true! So, instead of acting, "better" than other believers we need to be nourishing them in the faith. We need to be lifting them up, instead of tearing them down.

We have to take in mind that for new believers, it could be the easiest time for them to fall. At this time you have Satan working extra hard to get them to turn the other way. He doesn't want anyone to follow Jesus Christ, and we have to make sure that he isn't using US to turn others away from Christ. We can't be a stumbling block for our brothers and sisters in the Lord. So, I suggest that we all take a deep look at ourselves and find out if we've been a good brother/sister or a horrible one! If we're horrible ones, then we need to change that today! Be a good sibling in Christ!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us to be good siblings in Christ, and don't let us be stumbling blocks for others. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless
