Wisdom

Monday's Devotion (4-23-07)

"Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts." Psalms 119:98-100 (KJV)

Well, we're back with the devotion today... But first of all, please read my MySpace bulletin for today about the new "GLK Spotlight." We don't know if we're going to go through with this section of the site yet, that depends on you (Whether or not anyone wants to take part in it.) Basically, it's going to be a section of the site that puts a spotlight on those doing the work of God and not so much on the person doing the works, but their particular cause. I'm really hoping that this'll work, and that it'll encourage more people to be more active in their own corner of the world. If you're doing the Lord's work and have a good reason you should be in the spotlight, then just contact me through MySpace or through the website: www.GodsLovingKindness.com

We all have questions, we all seek wisdom: However, for some of us that wisdom is simply sitting on a book shelf or in a closet some place. You see unless you seek God, unless you seek to know His Word (The Bible,) you will never find wisdom or understanding. Science doesn't even have the answers to the questions that we ask. Science can't heal a broken heart or even a broken spirit, but Jesus can. Some of us go around the world for answers, when all we have to do is reach into the closet and pull out the Bible. Just when you feel there's nothing left to be learned, the Bible proves you wrong time and time again.

While the Bible is a great source for wisdom, another great source is called, "Chatting with Jesus." When you talk with God through prayer, new things are opened up to you. The knowledge that God will share with us will blow you away! It is so easy to be deceived in this world, but I believe that once God has opened your eyes to the things of Him, your eyes can't be closed ever again. Once you know the full truth of God, you can't deny it ever again. Now, I don't know if anything I'm saying tonight is making any sense... But let's get to the point of today's devotion: I'm challenging you all to read the Bible one chapter a day, for one week... and I guarantee that you won't be able to say that you haven't learned something from it. You won't be able to say that you regret doing it, because you won't regret it! And after that week, you won't want to put your Bibles down again!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to know you and your Word well. Give us the wisdom and the answers that we seek and so desperately need. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless
