Friday's Devotion (4-13-07)

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16 (KJV)

While we must confess our sins/faults to God, we should also confess our faults to one another and pray for each other... That we may be healed. This is another great thing about share day, even though you can share every day anyway. It's great to know that you can have people to come to and confess to and get those people to pray for you in whatever areas you need it. Yesterday, I asked you all to pray for me to complete those six songs and someone must've been praying a good one... Because as of tonight they are complete! Thank you for your prayers, I credit yours and my prayers to the Lord for this. When we are together in prayer, in petition to the Lord, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING can stop us. I believe that I'll have to do four more of these songs, but I completed the ones that were set before me and I wait for the next task... and I can have confidence that they'll be done and done right too, because with the power of prayer I completed five songs in a two day period. I have never done that before and I couldn't have without prayer and help from the Lord. If we can all join together, if I can get you all joined together here in prayer I believe that you all can be healed from any problem. Well, if you join together with believers ANYWHERE, you can accomplish this. It doesn't have to be just here, that's for sure.

While joining together in prayer is always a good thing, we should also confess our faults to one another. This is called being humble and it also helps others too. If you're going through something, someone else might be too or they might have and they'll think that they're alone if nobody ever steps up and confesses. I try to share my life here with you all, in hopes that you can use it in some way to your advantage. People have read things here, and until they did they thought they were alone. I have shared things here and until I did and heard from some of you... I thought I was alone. It is really to our benefit to confess to one another. However, in order to do this we have to first set our pride aside. It's hard to admit where you have failed, or how you have failed, but WE ALL FAIL! To say that you never fail is to say that you don't need Jesus or His sacrifice. If all believers got together and talked and prayed, then things would be a whole lot better! Unity is what the church lacks. This is why I also have a hard time choosing a church... Because I refuse to attend a church where the members ignore each other. I can ignore them from home, I don't need to go to church to do that. Next time you go to church, be sure to acknowledge the other members and to speak with them. Just talk with them and pray with them. Don't just do it at church either, do it every single chance you get. You'll be a better person for it, and you'll find healing and you'll help others to find it too. Well, I see I got a bit talkative with the return devotion, hope it wasn't too much LOL!

Prayer Request: Derek (The guy who sang Carry Our Cross for me,) lost his job at the church he was working at due to financial cut backs or something to that extent. He lead the youth worship there. He loved this job, so just pray that he'll find something bigger and better to glorify the Lord in. I personally believe that the Lord wants something bigger for him and that's why this happened.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us to unite with one another and to put our pride away and to confess to one another as well as to you. Help us to boldly pray with one another. Also, help Derek who has lost his job at the church. Help him to continue his work for you elsewhere and to grow strongly in you. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless
