GOD IS GOOD!
Sunday's Devotion (4-1-07)
"But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." Genesis 50:20 (KJV)
A lot of things happen to us, while some of those thing don't seem good at first... They usually turn out good in our favor. Let's look at Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose." All thinks WORK TOGETHER for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. That's not saying that all things are good, but it is saying that all things work together for our good! I'm not quite sure how to explain what is in my mind. Something might happen today that seems bad, but then tomorrow something else will happen that makes you look back and see why what happened yesterday happened. For example: Last year or so we were buying our dogs a certain type of dog food... They stopped eating it. While at the time, this seemed bad. It seemed that we wasted our money. Recently we found out that that was a good thing, because that dog food was being recalled because dogs were dying from it. It was one of the many brands being recalled. That worked with a series of events/things for a good purpose for us. Our dogs are alive and healthy, what more good could've come out of that situation?
Well, anyway we have to look at each situation with positive eyes. When something that seems bad happens to us, we just have to say and believe, "Well, there must be a good reason for this! God is on my side always!" Stay positive always, and the result will be positive always. Although God has showed us that even when we are not faithful, HE IS!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us to be positive and to have great faith in you. In Jesus name. A-men!
