Obey

Thursday's Devotion (3-29-07)

"If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures." Job 36:11 (KJV)

"I'm destined for misery and poverty," those are the words that many of us speak. These are words that we should never speak, because the Lord has other plans for our life. If we obey Him and serve Him in all things then we will find happiness and prosperity. Look deep inside yourself and then honestly tell me that you're not destined for something great. You are the Lord's child and I'm betting that you are destined for greatness. You are destined to prosper and be happy. Just obey the Lord and you will get where you need to be. I'll tell you how I feel, there are times where I feel it deep in my heart... I feel and know that the Lord wants to use me for something great. Tell me that you don't feel that at times for your own life. If you don't, then you need to start praying. Pray that you'll be use mightily for the Lord.

Your prosperity really depends on your obedience to the Lord. I never had any talent or anything until I came to Jesus, I am just a vessel for His work. The songs I write are given to me by Him, I am not talented on my own. In other words, the Lord can use any one of us mightily and the Lord is able to make any one of us prosper. Pray for yourselves and pray for me as I would like to take that next step in the Lord's work, but I don't know what it is or if I'm ready yet. All I know is that I want to do great things for the Lord, and I hope that is your desire as well.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us to be obedient to you and to serve you in all things. Also, help us all to find our calling in your work, and use us mightily. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless
