Reminder
Friday's Devotion (3-16-07)
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;" Corinthians 4:17 (KJV)
Today's devotion is a reminder... We will go through hard times in this life, but this life is only a moment compared to our next. Hang in there, stay strong in the Lord because you will reap the reward for all that you've been through. And when you receive that reward, that glory, there will be no doubt that it is worth everything we've went through and more! Just to stand in the presence of Jesus is worth more than anything in itself.
However, if you give up now for an "easier life," you must also realize that this life is only for a moment... If you give up on following Jesus then you will suffer for eternity in your next life. This life is simply not worth giving up eternity with Jesus for. You think the pain you feel now is bad? Well, imagine how much more severe it will be for those who end up in Hell? Be thankful that you are a follower of Jesus Christ and that your destiny is not eternal suffering. The words, "Eternal suffering," is really watering it down... It's going to be so horrible in Hell, so unbearable. So, I beg you to stay strong in Jesus and don't give up. You'll be glad that you took this advice.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've wronged us. Give us strength from above, don't let us be weary or faint. Help us to continue walking in your ways forever and ever. In Jesus name. A-men!
