You Can't Lose!

Saturday's Devotion (3-3-07)

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10 (KJV)

Here we have a challenge from God Himself! God is saying: Give to me and my house, and I will bless you beyond measure. God doesn't need your money, but He loves to see His children reach out their hands and help others, because then He can see Himself in us. A father loves to see His children growing up to be like Him. My dad wanted me to work at the Ford Plant, because he worked at the Ford Plant. We may not want to grow up to be like our earthly fathers, but if we grow up to be like our Father God, then we have something special, and we can be truly happy. If you give, then God will give to you. God will not be in any man's debt, and He's making a promise with this verse. He pretty much says provide for my house, and I will pour out blessings from Heaven upon you. That means one thing: He has to fulfill this promise, or He has unpaid debt... And the Lord will never have debts. However, I am a strong believer that we should never give just to receive in return, but if you give out of the kindness of your heart then you ARE going to receive blessings in return.

My wife Krista was told this month from the Lord, to start giving more. She runs the finances, but she talked it over with the rest of us and we all agreed, "Well, if the Lord is asking for it, then we better give it." So we did, and immediately we're seeing some blessings already. For example, our electric bill was the amount that we gave lower. It doesn't stop there, we're still seeing blessings come in in other areas too. So, you see the Lord doesn't just pay us back... He gives us what we gave and then some! Basically, what I'm saying is that if you give to the needy... It's NEVER a loss! If you give in the name of the Lord, you my friends can't lose! It's not a gamble, it's not an investment, it's not a loss, it's a gain! When you help others, you also help yourself and you please God VERY much. You can't go wrong with giving. Pray to the Lord and ask how much you should give, and where/who you should give it to.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us to be more giving, and to be cheerful givers. Don't let us be greedy, don't let us give just because we want to receive, but let our offerings be out of love for you and others. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless
