No Faith/No Pleasure
Wednesday's Devotion (1-17-07)
"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" Romans 8:32 (KJV)
To think that God does not hear our prayers, or to think that He will not answer our prayers is nothing less than sinful. Here we have a God that gave His Son (Which is EVERYTHING TO HIM,) for us. What else does the Lord have to lose? What could be more important to the Lord that He would not give it? If you only have one dollar, and someone asked for it... Why would you give them 99 cents and keep one penny for yourself? What good is that penny to you without the other 99? I certainly can't buy anything for a penny in California! My point is that why would God give you something that means so much to Him, and then not give you everything else you need?
God gave His only begotten Son, because He loves you. Love has no boundaries, love is not greedy or selfish. Love does not hold anything good back. So many people think that it is God's Will for them to be in want, to be in poverty. I for one don't believe that for a minute! God's Will is for you to prosper in every area of your life, and you need to believe that! "If God's Will for me isn't poverty, then why do I still live in poverty?" Simply because you believe that God wants that for your life. When I say poverty, I don't just mean financial poverty... I mean physical, mental, and spiritual poverty as well! We have poor health mentally, physically, and spiritually and I just can't believe that God would want us to live this way. In no place, shape or form does the Bible even say that we should live in such poverty. In actuality the Bible says that the Lord will provide, and that the Lord will not keep any good thing from us.
Sadly enough, only one person (Lori) took the challenge of faith and made a declaration of what the Lord will do for her in 2007. I'm hoping that she wasn't the only one, but just the only one in public... Because if nobody else made a declaration of faith, if you all have doubt about receiving what you ask for, then you're going to struggle for a long time to come! You have to believe for what you're asking for! There can be no doubt in your heart, mind, or soul. The Lord wants you to come BOLDLY before His throne. He doesn't want you to come feeling all unworthy and unsure, He doesn't want to hear, "Lord, I'm sorry to bother you... If it's not too much trouble can you help me with this?" You have to be bold, and you have to believe. One of the most important thing to know is that God takes pleasure in helping you, and He takes pleasure in you calling on His name. He has no pleasure in people who do not call on His name, He has no pleasure in people who have no faith.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us to have the faith that we need to come boldly before your throne. Take all our doubt and throw it far from us. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless
