You Can't Change Tomorrow!
Monday's Devotion (5-8-06)
"And it shall come to pass, that before
they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." Isaiah
65:24 (KJV)
Another one of the Lord's many great features: He knows
what you're going to do or say before you do or say it! He knows what you're
going to do before you even know! The Lord is the only one with the right to
answer a question before it is asked. It's rude when people cut you off when
you're talking. God doesn't even do that and He knows what you're going to say!
You know why? Because He cares, He wants to hear it come out of your mouth. He
wants you to have a personal relationship with Him, and in order for that to
happen... You have to open up to Him. He could be happy with just knowing your
needs and fulfilling them, but why? Why would it make Him happy to be ignored by
us? Talking to Jesus is about having a relationship and it's about having
reverence for Him. It's acknowledging that He's there, and that's very
important. It also helps us to take heavy burdens off our chests. It helps to
talk about things. God made it that way for a reason, so you would talk to Him.
Some of you say, "I don't think God heard my prayer!" I hate to tell you, but
God heard your prayer 2,000 years before you even thought about praying your
prayer! He'll answer your prayers, when it's time for them to be answered. You
don't think you can make it another day? Well, He knows how much you can handle!
He has seen your beginning before you begun, and he has seen your ending before
you have come to the end. We need to stop questioning God and start having
faith. Stop worrying about tomorrow when there's nothing you can do to change
tomorrow.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins, and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Help us to have great faith, may we not have worries and doubts. May we have the
assurance of knowing that our prayers are heard. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
