He's For Real!
Sunday's Devotion (3-19-06)
"And he said, The things which are
impossible with men are possible with God." Luke 18:27 (KJV)
I know of so many people who just feel hopeless. They say
things like, "I can't do this, I can't do that," or, "It'll never work out, I'll
never get MY miracle." The word, "can't," can't be in your vocabulary. The other
thing is that the miracles and such aren't your job to perform. They are God's
job to perform. Whatever you need you have to rely on God for it, not yourself!
You have to have faith, or you will remain hopeless. I used to feel very
hopeless, and I even have those moments where that hopeless feeling comes back.
We're always going to have to deal with that, the keywords are, "Deal with
that!" Don't let that deal with you. In other words, put your hope and trust in
God who is able to perform all things. The thing to always remember is that: God
is always on YOUR side, no matter what.
Believers aren't hopeless, we have hope... We just have to realize that. You
might feel hopeless, which is a horrible feeling, but it's not true. You do have
hope. Man, if I wasn't a Christian then I'd feel so hopeless that I would've
killed myself by now. That's no joke, I used to think about it all the time
before I got saved. Everything was about me, "I'm not good enough, I can't do
this, I will always be a loser, I can't take this anymore." It felt like I had
the weight of the world on my shoulders, then Jesus entered. Things got a lot
easier from there. I no longer had to fear or worry about anything. I had hope
after a long time of not having any hope. Now that I've found hope in Jesus,
I've also discovered that I DO have other talents. I just needed the love and
assurance of Christ to bring those gifts to the surface and use them. I needed
the confidence that only Jesus can provide.
Whether or not you believe in God or Jesus Christ, do me a favor: Don't talk
trash on Christianity, because it gives so many of us hope. It helps us to get
by in life. It changes our lives for the better. I see so many people making fun
of people who believe because they don't believe, but if you went through what
we've been through, and then experienced Jesus you would have that same love for
Christ. Christ has performed unexplainable miracles in our lives, whether or not
any of you want to believe it. If you're experiencing pain in your body, mind or
spirit, then call out to Jesus right now and experience His healing touch.
You'll see that He's for real!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message, and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins, and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Help us to have faith in you without any doubt. Draw us closer to you, and
perform those miracles that we need performed. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
