Is There a Place For You?
Monday's Devotion (3-6-06)
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son
is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince
of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
Today, there's something that I have to get off my chest.
Here you read the scripture that prophesied the birth of Jesus Christ, the
messiah, the Son of God. All these things that the Son of God was supposed to be
called is what Jesus is called: Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Not only that, but these names have
stuck with Him for over 2,000 years. There is no doubt in my mind that the
messiah is truly Jesus Christ, He truly is the Son of God.
My problem isn't that Jesus is the Christ, my problem is that there are people
who believe He isn't. There are people who are waiting for, "The real messiah."
They don't believe that Jesus is the real Son of God, but my question is why?
These people didn't believe that Jesus was the Son of God, what makes them think
that they will believe anyone else is the messiah? For over 2,000 years these
names have stuck with one man... That man Jesus Christ. Just like the Bible has
been around from generation to generation. No other book can make that claim. If
Jesus wasn't the Christ, the Son of God... Can't you trust that your God
would've stopped the scam long before now? The truth is that Jesus Christ is not
a scam. Jesus Christ is really the Son of God. Some of you don't believe it, but
you better start. If you reject the Son you also reject the Father, and if you
reject the Father there is NO place for you in Heaven. Is there a place for you?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message, and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins, and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Please open the eyes of those who don't believe in your Son, draw them to you.
And draw us all closer to you through Jesus Christ. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
