SICKNESS HAS NO DOMINION OVER YOU!

Saturday's Devotion (2-18-06)

"Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." Psalms 91:9-11 (KJV)

This is a comforting promise, don't you think? Some of you are sickly, and some of you aren't. Those that aren't are relieved that the Lord is protecting them... Those that are sickly are relieved because SICKNESS HAS NO DOMINION OVER YOU! You need to let yourself know that. Sickness has no dominion over you, even though you might be sick. It is the Lord that has dominion over you. It is the Lord that decides whether you die or whether you live. It is the Lord that decides whether or not you will be healed, but guess what... The Lord also makes His decisions upon your faith! If your faith is in Christ, then the Lord's favor is in your corner.

When I say your faith, I mean you have to really believe that Jesus is going to come through. You can't say, "Jesus is going to come through," and then three years later say, "Jesus isn't going to heal me." No, you have to hold on tight to your faith in Christ. Even if a doctor tells you, "You have a week left to live," you have to say, "Doctor, I respect you, but I have longer in Christ Jesus! You just wait and see." Your doctor will be surprised with the results. Your faith isn't in medical science, your faith is in Christ! Even though I believe that God DOES use medical science to heal sometimes, I don't believe that medical science is the final say. God is the final say, REGARDLESS of your situation. If your faith is in Him, then you could be healed instantly or He could heal you in the form of medical treatment, or He could just wait until that right moment to heal you. God heals, and God does send His angels to look over us. Sometimes that angel might come in the form of a doctor, who knows? Just be patient, but most importantly... Be thankful!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message, and for all things. Please help us to keep our faith in you through it all. Bring healing to those who are willing to trust in you right now. Send your angels to look over us at all times. In Jesus name. A-men!

God bless!
