Finding a Soul Mate!
Friday's Devotion (2-17-06)
"Two [are] better than one; because they
have a good reward for their labour." Ecclesiastes 4:9 (KJV)
Today's devotion is a request. The topic is about the
trials and tribulations of being single in this world today. Not only that, but
it's about finding the perfect soul mate, that God has intended for you!
There are many trials that come with being alone without a spouse. I was alone
my entire life, until I found love. I'm not that old, but when I was in school
all the others had girlfriends, and they even had regular friends. I didn't have
any of that. How did that effect me? I went through a cycle of depression, I
felt worthless and unattractive. I felt hopeless, I felt like I would never find
that one person for me. When people feel worthless, and when they feel that they
can't find someone... They resort to other things, things like pornography, etc.
Basically, they resort to sin. People need someone to love, people need
affection in their lives. They need someone to hold them up.
About finding a soul mate, I found mine! God works in mysterious ways, that's
for sure. I felt hopeless, and I felt like a loser. I met my current wife on the
internet, and how it happened it just showed that God's hand was in on it! Let
me tell you something else, when you find your soul mate... You'll know it! When
I just saw a picture of my current wife, something clicked inside of me. I
didn't know how it would happen, but I knew that I would end up with her. She
lived in California, and I lived in Indiana... But yet from the time I saw her
picture, I knew we'd be together. Some people seem to think that they can mess
up their chances of meeting their soul mates. That is not so. God has made a
soul mate for everyone who seeks one, and He'll connect the both of you in due
time! My advice is that you pray, and you never give up. There is someone out
there that can give you that love you need, and that love is unconditional!
HOLD YOUR HEADS UP HIGH MY FRIENDS! Why do you think you can't reach certain
parts of your own back to scratch? Because God created us so we'd have to depend
on someone else once in awhile... He won't leave you alone in life.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message, and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins, and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Please comfort us, and guide us. Help those who need a soul mate to find their
soul mate. Bless their relationships, and we pray that the devil wouldn't have
his evil hand in our relationships. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
