Tuesday's Devotion (2-7-06)

"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." John 5:22-23 (KJV)

I think it's important for us to know which one of the Holy Trinity members is in charge of judgment. Jesus Christ (The Son of God,) is in charge of judgment. That means when we go to be judged, we have to answer to Him! He is the judge, but at the same time... He is your lawyer! He will defend you, that is if you were following Him. Imagine that. Here you will have a judge that will disregard the prosecutor's case. He'll disregard the prosecutor (Satan,) because Jesus is also your lawyer and He will win your case. The prosecutor, Satan... He's the accuser. You'll hear him telling you, "But you stole as a child, you took drugs before, you did this, you did that." This is his case against you to condemn you to life in Hell. But what case will he have if your lawyer is also the judge, and jury? He can't win. With this in mind, I hope you'll choose Jesus Christ to defend you. That means you're going to have to start living for Him now.

You also have people who don't respect Jesus, but they act like they respect God. I don't understand it. You even have a group of people that believe that they don't need the Holy Spirit (Jesus' Spirit) to be saved. Again, I don't understand. Groups like these have gone out of their way to go against members of the Holy Trinity and commit blasphemy. Guess what? If you're against one member of the Holy Trinity, you're against all members! A house divided against its own can not stand! And trust me... The Kingdom of God is standing! So, if you're divided against any member of God's Kingdom, then you are not a part of that Kingdom! If you want in, you're going to have to accept all three members of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.) You can't say that you respect one, but not the other. That'd be like going into someone's house and saying, "I respect you, but I'm going to kill your children!" It doesn't work that way! How can you love and respect someone and then treat their family badly? It's not possible!

We will do anything possible to help you and your walk with Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message, and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins, and we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us not to be deceived and to always stand on your side in full. Don't let us wander off and join the wrong side. We want to be on the winning side! In Jesus name. A-men!
