What Is Enough?
Sunday's Devotion (1-29-06)
"He that believeth on the Son hath
everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the
wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36 (KJV)
Tell me if I'm wrong, but there has to be a difference in believing on Jesus,
and believing in Jesus... Because even the demons know that Jesus is real, but
they aren't saved. If you believe in Jesus, and not on Jesus, then today's
message might be the most important thing you've ever read.
I've seen people my entire life that think they're saved solely because they
know of Jesus, and because they believe in his existence. But they don't believe
ON Him! They don't follow His Word, and they don't rush to it for answers. They
don't quote the scriptures in time of need, they don't pray, etc. They just
believe that He exists. This mindset is more dangerous for you than a mindset
that had never heard of Jesus before. At least those people will have an excuse
for not having a relationship with Jesus Christ when judgment day rolls around!
You can't be saved solely by believing Jesus exists, you have to have faith in
Him! You have to put all your trust in Him, and you have to have a relationship
with Him! Like I said before, Satan and his minions believe in the existence of
Jesus... They aren't going to live eternally. They also don't trust in Jesus,
and they don't follow Him! If they did follow Him, they'd be angels and not
devils. Please get serious in your relationship with Jesus. If you don't have a
true relationship with Him, then it's not too late to develop one. Don't be
deceived by thinking all you have to do is believe that Jesus was and is. That's
not enough.
If you're interested in giving your life to Jesus, then please see our "God's
Free Gift" page. You can also send us prayer request, and you may contact us for
any reason.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message, and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins, and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Please help us to have faith in your Son, and to believe on Him with all our
hearts, and to have a personal relationship. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
