Special People?
Tuesday's Devotion (1-17-06)
"According as he hath chosen us in him
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame
before him in love:" Ephesians 1:4 (KJV)
Before the world was, we were. We were alive before the
world was created, we were alive in the heart of God. He had us chosen before we
were even created. Think about that next time you feel low about yourself. Think
about that when you doubt how special you are to God. To be a child of God, you
have to be special! You have to be special to have something that made God
decide on you millions of years before you were even created!
Another way to think of it is like this: It's like God had a dream. He had a
dream of what He wanted, and He created that dream... That dream was you! He
believed so much in this dream that He sent His own son to die for that dream.
People die for great dreams to come true at times. Martin Luther King Jr. died
for his dream, Abraham Lincoln died for his dream, and Jesus Christ died for His
dream! God created you special, he picked only the finest ingredients to make
you... Because you are His special chosen people. Before you knew you were going
to accept Jesus Christ, He already knew you would! He already knows who won't...
Because the special have that special ingredient, the rest don't have it. Here's
a weird story: Before I was ever saved, and people made me feel like a piece of
trash... I still knew that there was something special, some big plan for me.
The feeling was strong at times, but now look at me, I have salvation! That
special ingredient must be the Holy Ghost in my heart. I don't know of any other
explanation. We must be special people for God to allow His Spirit to live in
us.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message, and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins, and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Help us to realize how special we are to you, and may you use us to bring all
those that belong to you back to you. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
