Mourning
Friday's Devotion (4-1-05)
"Blessed [are] they that mourn: for they
shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4 (KJV)
Yesterday the injustice was completed: Terri Schavio
passed away. She was murdered by court order. Truly a shameful and sad day for
the United States. We here at GLK send our deepest sympathy to all those
affected by this tragedy.
You could say that Terri went through a ton of mourning in her life. She
suffered, but now she is comforted. Terri had faith in Jesus Christ, and today
she is with Him. We've been praying for her healing and we got the answer. We
got the answer in a different way than expected. She is healed in Heaven.
We shouldn't mourn her death, because the Bible teaches us that we should
celebrate life. She died, but she lives. The family and friends will mourn
because they'll miss her. We will mourn in sympathy for her friends and family,
we will mourn for the direction our country is headed, we will mourn because of
the great injustice. But we will not mourn for where Terri is today. God bless
her soul. And to all of us that mourn... we too will be comforted when our time
comes.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Please take our country back into the direction you'd have it go. Comfort
Terri's family and friends, and comfort us. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
