Pray Today!
Monday's Devotion (3-28-05)
"Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and
their supplication, and maintain their cause." 1 Kings 8:45 (KJV)
Here we are a little over nine days since Terri, the
Florida disabled woman was sentenced to death by starvation. The feeding tubes
are still removed, she's still alive and she's starving. There's still breath,
there's still hope. Even if she was to die... God is able to raise the dead! We
need to pray, we need to pray hard. If she loses her life in this injustice, we
are all on the brink of losing freedom. Let's say that this is you in that state
that she's in. There's no proof that you ever said you wanted to die, and your
spouse is with someone else and had children with that person. Would you want to
die and let this injustice go down? I wouldn't want to. I also hope that there
would be people that I do, and don't know praying on my behalf. Will you pray on
this woman's behalf? It's our duty, and it should be our honor to do it. I'm
still praying that she would be healed. Just imagine yourself or someone you
love in her situation. It isn't right, it's a crime against humanity. It really
is! That's just my thoughts on this. I'm pro-life because Christ is pro-life
too! We're promised eternal life through Christ, not eternal death.
Prayer is such a powerful tool. When people pray, especially in numbers there is
power. There's healing power in prayer. No matter what is happening in your
life, prayer can fix the wrongs! We have the "Prayer Request," section here
because we truly believe in prayer. We've been praying for you, and now we hope
you will pray for our request today. It's good to have prayer partners. It's
always good to have someone you can contact and say, "Hey, I need prayer in this
situation." Someone that you can trust to open up to. Things can get so bad and
you can feel so hopeless, and it helps to know that someone is there with you
praying. We're not always able to believe for ourselves, it's easier to believe
for someone else. It's also easier to have more faith when you know someone
else, is praying for you. It's a faith booster, so to speak. We get about 200 a
day visiting here. That's a pretty good sized faith booster, I just hope you all
pray for this situation.
If you will please sign our guestbook and say, "I'm praying for Terri!" That way
we can keep this topic around for days to come and get more prayers.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us. We
pray that you'd make us people of great faith. Please heal Terri and stop this
starvation. Stop this injustice. In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
message board or in our
Guestbook.
