Find Forgiveness!
Wednesday's Devotion (3-16-05)
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we
say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." 1
John 1:9-10 (KJV)
There's a lot of you that just don't, "Feel forgiven."
We're going to handle that problem today. Read these scriptures a couple of
times over. What have you done that needs to be forgiven? Confess that sin right
now, whatever it may be: Blasphemy, theft, adultery, or etc. Just say, "Father,
I have done this sin of (Name of sin here,) please forgive me as I forgive those
who've sinned against me." You're now forgiven! Don't believe it? If you don't
believe it, then you better say, "Father forgive me for my lack of faith, please
heal me of my disbelief." The only reason you wouldn't be forgiven, is if you
refuse to acknowledge your sin and ask forgiveness. You have found the simple
road to forgiveness, today.
I want you all to think about something. Think about this: Why wouldn't you be
forgiven? If you read your Bibles, then you would know the words of the Lord as
he was being crucified, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."
If Christ can say that about the people who murdered Him, why wouldn't He
forgive you? You didn't crucify Christ. You couldn't of done anything even close
to that. There is one unforgivable sin and that is: Blasphemy against the Holy
Spirit. Note that it's not regular blasphemy against God or Jesus, but it's
against the Spirit. Also take note that if you have committed this sin, then you
have a hardened heart and you wouldn't even be worried about forgiveness. I have
battled over this sin... plenty of people have. It's a common lie of Satan,
he'll say, "You've blasphemed the Holy Ghost! You're condemned!" The fear of
even worrying about committing that sin is paralyzing. It paralyzes us from
doing God's will, and that's what Satan wants. He wants to disable us. Today you
are free from your fear! Today you have found forgiveness!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
May we now truly with all of our hearts, believe that we are forgiven and we are
saved! In Jesus name. A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
