Without Faith You Cannot Please God!

Thursday's Devotion (2-24-05)

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

Many of the most faithless people, will say, "I please God!" or, "I'm going to Heaven, when I die." You have to have complete unwavering faith in God, for both of those statements to be true. The only way to salvation is through faith in Christ, the only way to please God is through faith. Therefore, we have to please God to be saved! Some of you are without faith, this very moment. You're not very happy, and you don't feel very pleasing to God. Without faith, you're not at peace with God. Are you at peace?

If you're here reading this and you don't have peace, happiness, or faith then you need to follow this advice: Get into the Bible more! Don't feel like God loves you? Go to www.blueletterbible.org and type the phrase, "Love" and all the scriptures about God's love will come up. Don't feel like you can be healed? Then go there and type in, "Heal" or "Healing" That's not the only thing you need to do, you need to read the Bible in it's entirety. Don't have a Bible? Well, if you're on the internet and you're reading this then you do have a Bible, again: www.blueletterbible.org. You can read the entire Bible through on that site and return where you left off. In this day and age, there's almost no reason not to read the Bible! If you're serious about your walk with the Lord, then you will read the Bible, because without faith you cannot please God!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us. Please help us to get into your Word and to have unwavering faith in you. In Jesus name. A-men!
