A Word About Homosexuality

Tuesday's Devotion (1-18-05)

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet." Romans 1:22-27 (KJV)

Look at what we have here. A lot of people reject this website because I teach against the sin of homosexuality, because that's what it is a sin. I teach against all sins though, but I'd say that this is one of my favorites to talk about because I get so many people saying, "There is nothing in the Bible that speaks against homosexuality!" when there is indeed several scriptures against this sin. The real question isn't whether or not homosexuality is a sin, but it is: Why does everyone deny that it is? Why does everyone get mad and go against me when I say it and tell me, "You're wrong!" when it is written in the Bible? I am a Minister, what does everyone expect? I believe strongly in God's Word and I hope everyone reading this does too. People are changing the truth of God, into a lie, something that it's not to make themselves feel better about their sin and I am not going to keep my mouth shut about it. Read these scriptures carefully and pray for understanding. I'm not trying to judge anyone, but I am trying out of love to show people what's right and wrong in God's eyes directly from the Bible. I think the problem is that people know the truth and don't care about it, they just want to continue in their sinful ways and not be bothered with truth. You're a homosexual and can't be changed, right? You have to make yourself feel better about something that can't be changed, right? WRONG! It can be changed, maybe not by you, but if you go to God, He can change it! I'm tired of all the excuses of why you shouldn't change... the truth is you worship your pleasures and not God, but in the end what do you get? If you don't repent of your sins and admit that you were wrong then in the end you don't get pleasure, you only get pain. Tell me that I hate you for trying to prevent you from eternal torture. Christians get that told to them all the time when we only intend good.

The falsehood of this all is that everyone thinks, "If I listen to God, then I have to live a boring life!". They think that there is no pleasure in following God, but the truth is that, that is where the true pleasures are! By trying to save your pleasures you lose the greatest pleasure of them all... knowing and following Jesus Christ. If you've read this far then I ask you not to reject the truth any longer. Give God's way a chance and you will be happy with the change. You will be more happy with Jesus and His way then you will be with your current lifestyle. When I first got saved, I had to go through a huge change. I had to turn into the opposite of who I was at the time and the old me would've thought, "How boring!". He would've thought that because he never actually experienced it (Living for Christ and not for everything else.). Once I started living for Christ, I gave up quite a few things and that's because I love the Lord. Once I gave up all the things that He wanted me to give up... life only got better. The Lord, only wants the best for us. It's like when a parent says, "Don't take drugs!". A child would think that the parent is saying that because they don't want the child to have any fun, but the truth is that the parents are saying it because it's no fun being addicted to drugs. The point is that some of you are living a life that isn't the way God, intended you to live and if it isn't the way God, intended it to be then it isn't life at it's fullest. You're missing out on something far greater than you know. So you're living the homosexual lifestyle and think that you have everything the best it can be... try the way of Jesus and you will only find a more pleasurable life, a more abundant and joyful life. That is a promise right from God.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us. Please help us to be right with you and to live as you would have us to live and not how we think we should. Make us pleasing children and give us joy and peace with you. In Jesus, name. A-men!
