A Message To Teachers & Listeners!
Monday's Devotion (1-10-05)
"What is my reward then? Verily that, when
I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I
abuse not my power in the gospel." 1 Corinthians 9:18 (KJV)
Today, I want to talk about ministers or preachers who
abuse their power in the gospel and what danger you are in because of this.
Ministers are here to minister to you and we serve Christ, by serving you the
sons and daughters of God. Some ministers will abuse their power by preaching
their own doctrines and then saying, "I'm a minister of God, I know what I'm
talking about!". This has deceived so many people. Some people think that just
because someone is a minister they're always right and some people think that
because someone has been a minister for 30 years they can take their every word
as truth. This is very dangerous thinking and when a minister says the words,
"I'm a minister of God, I know what I'm talking about!" when you correct them
for using God's Word wrongly then I would certainly not go back to their church.
Man is far from perfect, whether you have been a preacher for 50 years or 1
month you could be wrong still. The only thing that's for sure is the sound
doctrine we find in the Bible and anyone could mess that up too with their own
beliefs.
I've tried really hard to be Biblically accurate with what I say on this
website, but I can't believe that everything I've said is completely right. I
have tried very hard to get it right and God, knows that I wouldn't teach
wrongly on purpose. If you have noticed anything wrong with my devotions or
Bible studies then I beg you to correct me, because I want everything to be
right. There are too many ministers abusing their power just to get further in
life or to promote bad things. This is wrong and they will be judged for it.
Some people become preachers to make more money with ceremonies and some do it
to get discounts or for authority over people. All these things are abuse of
power. If you're a minister think about this: You are a minister to serve God,
by serving the people and not to serve yourself and especially not to serve
Satan! Do not abuse your power! You will get a reward if you do right and use
your power correctly! There is power in the gospel and that power is yours!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things.
Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us.
Please help us to use your Word correctly and not to abuse our power in the
gospel. Make us pleasing children and bring us closer to you. In Jesus, name.
A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
