Be There & Care!

Tuesday's Devotion (4-20-04)

"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." Hebrews 13:3 (KJV)

We should never forget about those who are suffering. If you see a child that lost her parents, then do not forget that child. You need to act as if it was you that lost your parents and get a feel of the pain that, that person is feeling. If you feel their pain, you will be sensitive to their needs and you will be able to display your love and concern. When we cry in pain God, also feels our pain. He feels our pain, because He doesn't want to see us like that, but He knows we have to go through it. If you love someone, you feel their pain when they're going through it. With that in mind, we're supposed to love everyone. So, when we see a person hurting we should feel their pain. If we feel their pain, then we will be quick to help them and if we don't feel their pain, we will be hesitant to help. We should never hesitate to help a fellow person. Last year, I lost my dad and from time to time I still get really upset about that. Whenever I get upset about that or about anything, then my wife also gets upset with me and feels horrible that I feel horrible. When she is upset I also get upset and feel her pain. When she goes through something, I try to look at it from her point of view and that makes it easier to feel her pain. If she didn't feel my pain, then I probably wouldn't feel like she cared. We can be very insensitive and cruel as humans sometimes, that is what today's devotion is about. You need to think about how others feel and feel for them. If you have a friend or family members that feel your pain, then you're rich with love! That is a true blessing, so return that blessing to someone else in a tough situation. Try to be kind and sensitive. It could be your sensitivity and love that saves someone from committing suicide or saves someone from feeling unloved. It is a bad feeling to feel unloved. Make an effort to be sensitive to the needs of others. If you look from another man's point of view, you can feel his pain and you can help comfort that person. If someone just lost a loved one or if someone was raped, you need to think, "How would I feel, if that happened to me?" then you need to be there for that person. Be there and care!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us. Help us to be sensitive and to feel the pain of others. Help us to truly care for those around us. May we always display the love of God and save many souls. Please bring us very close to you Lord, because we can never be close enough. In Jesus, name. A-men!

God bless!
