"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32 (KJV)

If you want to be a true follower of Jesus Christ, then you must know His Word! If you do not know the steps that Jesus, took then you certainly can't follow! If you're driving down the street and following the car in front of you and he makes a turn and you didn't see where he turned, then you can't follow. You can guess, but you could end up taking the wrong road. Our walk with Jesus, is the same way. We can guess what steps He took and we could also end up on the wrong road! However, if we want to know Jesus, we can't guess! If you're guessing about someone then they're still a mystery to you! We need to know and have a relationship with Jesus and we can not do that without knowing His Word! Our time in His Word, is our fellowship time. It is a time for us to get to know Him and to get closer to Him. If we don't know Jesus, then we will not make it into God's Kingdom.

Many people are deceived and I hope that you know enough not to be. Many people believe that they do not need the Word of God, to be saved. These people call themselves, "Christians" maybe because they were baptized as a baby or because they said a prayer. To be a Christian, is more than that. To be a Christian, is to be Christ like. We can not be Christ like, if we do not know what Christ, was like. You can only know what Jesus, was like through His Word and you can only know His steps through His Word! On judgment day, when you're being judged, if God, isn't able to see Christ, in you then He will not grant you life everlasting! I hope that you have what it takes in you, to enter in His Kingdom and what it takes is Jesus!

Do you want to read God's Word, but you don't understand it? Well guess what? This is a common and easy to solve problem! All you have to do to understand God's Word, is pray for understanding of it, every time before you read and even if you don't understand it while you're reading, just stop and pray and read the verse that you don't understand again. The Holy Spirit, has to open our spiritual eyes for us to understand the Word. Think I'm kidding? Give the Bible to an unbeliever and ask them to give you the meaning of some of it!
