"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law." Psalm 119:18 (KJV)

These scriptures are speaking of God's Word. I sometimes have my eyes opened real good and I discover really cool things in the Word Of God. It is like a whole new world of discovery and it can be really fun and bring you closer to the Lord, at the same time. If you don't read God's Word on a daily basis, you're missing out. If you read my devotions daily, but you don't read your Bibles you can't possibly see all the mysteries and wonders of God's Word! If you look at one scripture and not the rest of the scriptures, you're missing out and not seeing the full picture.

The psalmist here, really enjoys the Word Of God. He asked the Lord, to open his eyes so he can behold the wondrous things of God's law. The problem with many people, that they don't read their Bibles is because they do not understand the Bible. The Bible is different from any other book. The Bible can only be understood by those who are truly seeking God and by those who ask for wisdom to understand it. Only the author of the Bible, can help us understand. When I say the author, I'm not talking about the prophets and etc that with pen wrote down the words that are in the Bible. I'm talking about the Holy Spirit. The Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, provided the words and men wrote the words on paper.

The Bible teaches us how God, wants us to live. We can go through life guessing on how God, would have us to live or we can know how God, wants us to! I've made guesses before and you know what? My guesses were logical to me, but they were not what God, wanted me to do! Man's mind, can't possibly guess what is in God's heart. That is why the Bible is here. The Bible is here to show us what God, wants us to do. If we guess, we will end up being wrong and we do not want to pay for being wrong in the end! Not only is the Bible here to show us how to live, but it is here so we can know God! A lot of people say, "I know God!", but they only know of Him. They do not know His Word. If you don't know His Word, you can't know Him! The scriptures teach that the Lord, is the Word! What people don't realize is that if we don't know the Lord, we won't make it into His Kingdom. People say, "Oh, I don't need to read the Bible to be saved!" however, I have found that in many ways you do need to. The Bible teaches that we are saved by faith, but it also teaches that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word Of God! It makes sense, because how can you possibly have faith in someone you don't know? Get to reading the Word Of God! Pray before you read, this will help you understand it. Pray for understanding, every time before you read. Sometimes you may even have to pray again while reading, but it is worth it! I would much rather see everyone reading God's Word, even if it meant you stop coming to this site. The Word Of God, will bring you peace, joy, understanding and so much more. Don't miss out!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us. Please bring us closer to you, through your Word. Open our eyes and help us to know and understand your Word. In Jesus, name. A-men!
