"For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee." Psalm 84:10-12 (KJV)

The writer of this psalm has great faith in the Lord. He believes that if he is even just a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord, that the Lord, will bless Him and not withhold any good thing from him. A lot of us do not have the greatest jobs. Some of us work at a fast food restaurants, some clean toilets and etc. That doesn't matter. What matters is if you trust the Lord. If you trust the Lord, He will provide for you and He will bless you. If you're a follower of the Lord and you think you've got it bad now, just know that it'd be a lot worse if you weren't following the Lord. The psalmist had a reason for saying, " ...I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness..." because you see the wicked are not blessed. The people who do not walk in the way of the Lord, are not blessed. They may have a lot of stuff and etc. They may seem blessed, but they are not spiritually blessed! The Lord, both spiritually and physically blesses those who follow His ways. When I go outside at night and go for walks or whatever I feel safe. I don't feel like I'm going to be killed or anything and that is a hard thing to find in this society today. However, you and anyone else can find that comfort by trusting God. That isn't just for when we go out, but for when we're inside our homes too: When we don't have food God, will provide a way for us to get some, when we don't have money to pay the rent God, will provide that too and whatever else there is God, can and will provide it for His children. God, is our protector and provider. I sometimes know that there is a shield protecting me from a lot of things that could go wrong. I don't always feel that peace and assurance that I'm protected, but that doesn't mean I am not still protected. However, what that does mean is my faith is lacking. I need more faith and I know that a lot of you do too. I get prayer requests and people just like me can't believe for certain things. We all have one certain thing or maybe even more than one thing that we can't trust God, for. We can't trust Him for it because somewhere along the line we think, "God, isn't going to help me with this one!" that is a lie! God, will help us with any problem in our lives. All we have to do is ask and believe that He can deliver. When you order a pizza, do you doubt that the pizza guy will come? Then why should you doubt that God, will help you? Do you have more faith in the pizza delivery guy? God, can and will help us in any area of our lives. If you trust God, you will be blessed! If you think you're not blessed, then you're simply lacking faith in some area of your life. Are you lacking faith? If so, pray for more faith and even if you think you have enough faith pray for more! Faith in God, is something we can't have too much of.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us. Please give us peace by giving us more faith. Do a work in all of our lives and bring us closer to you. In Jesus, name. A-men!
