Something To Think About!
Tuesday's Devotion (1-20-04)
"Consider the lilies how
they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in
all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the
grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how
much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?" Luke 12:27-28 (KJV)
I wrote a poem
once called, "Oh Me, Of Little Faith!" I think this is where I got the idea, for
that title. The Lord, has done so much for us and we still have trouble
believing in Him, for clothing, food and etc. My wife and I, have different
times where one of us is correcting the other. She'll get upset over finances
and I'll say, "Trust the Lord, for it, He always comes through every time and
every time you still worry." then she'll say, "Why don't you take your own
advice, with your spiritual warfare?" then I'll wish, I would've never opened my
mouth. I guess we all have something, that we have a harder time believing for.
Some people can't believe for their forgiveness, some can't believe for finances
or etc. However, we need to realize that we can believe for one good thing from
the Lord, just as much as we can for another. Nothing is too small or to great
for the Lord. The Lord, takes care of all the small details of the world. He
even clothes the grass! If God, will clothe the grass, how much more will He
clothe you? That's an important question to ask yourself. If God, loves the
grass that much, how much more does He love you? We need to always keep in mind,
what the Lord, has and will do for us. Have you ever done something faithfully
every day, like making dinner and when you decide to do it, a minute later than
usual everyone jumps on you, "Are you going to make dinner?" If so, doesn't it
hurt your feelings, that they'd even ask that? It's kind of a cut down, to ask
if you're going to do something that you've done faithfully for the longest
time. If you've faithfully cooked dinner for let's say forty years and then it
hurt your feelings when someone asked, if you were going to do it, imagine how
the Lord, feels. It must really hurt the Lord, when we can't trust Him, for the
easiest things that He has done for eternity. I've never thought of things in
this light, before. Maybe, it will help me more to believe when I think about
it. This is something to think about! I hope today's devotion, will be a
blessing to you.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message. Please forgive us of
all our sins and we forgive those who've wronged, us. Please help us, to know
that you will always provide for us. Help us to always trust in you. In Jesus,
name. A-men!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
