Would You Do The Same?

Monday's Devotion (8-11-03)

"And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed." Luke 17:26-30 (KJV)

Notice in these scriptures how God, waits to destroy everyone, until His children leave. The ones He's pleased with will not suffer destruction. How great is our God, to save an entire nation, just to keep the child He's pleased with alive? He didn't destroy these places, simply because His children, were there. However, He did finally make His children leave, so He could destroy these perverse people. This is how it'll be when Jesus, returns. Our world is so perverse and wicked, He will first make us (His children) leave. We will leave when Jesus, raptures us and takes us home to God's Kingdom. Once we're gone, He will then destroy this wicked world and the inhabitants thereof. This is why it's important, to be and stay right with God. I strongly believe, that the time is coming soon. This is also one reason, I promote Bible reading, so much, but I won't get into that now. Look how bad, our world is now. Homosexuals are allowed to get married in certain parts of the world. Sodom and Gomorrah, were destroyed for homosexuality and other sins too, but that was one of their sins. Things are so much worse now, than the days of Sodom and Gomorrah! They were destroyed for their unrepented sin, how much more will the world as we know it, be destroyed? I don't want to be here when this place is destroyed. The good news (The Gospel) is we don't have to be here. God, has made a way out for us, through His Son. If we follow and trust Jesus, we will be saved and raptured. However, when God's children, are raptured the others left behind still have a chance. The only way to enter God's Kingdom for those left behind, is to die for Christ. Much like Lot, when God, told him, "Don't look back or you'll be turned to stone." If the ones who are left behind, look back and go back into the world, they'll be destroyed. They'll end up saving their lives and not dying for Christ and end up being destroyed with the world. If they look back, they will not enter God's Glorious Kingdom! Christ, once died for you. The question is, if you had to would you die for Him? Would you do the same for Him?

Prayer: Dear Father, in Heaven. We come to you and we ask that you'd forgive us of all our sins. We also, forgive those who've wronged us. We ask that you'd take us out of this world, when you come for your children. We also ask, that if we get left behind, we would have your grace and have courage to die for your Son. Thank you. In Jesus, name. A-men!

God bless!
