Say No To Condemnation!

Saturday's Devotion (8-2-03)

"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth. Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Romans 8:29-34 (KJV)

Sometimes we wonder, "How can I still be saved?" The only answers, I have for that question are these scriptures. God, has chosen His children and He chose the ones, He wanted to be conformed to the image of His Son. He predestinated our fate and nothing can change it! If we're predestined us to be His, He will also justify us simply because He's God! With God, on our side none can stand against us. Because we're His children and if someone stands against another's child, they stand against the parent. If one stands against us, they stand against our Father and when they do that, they have no chance! How can God, not freely give us all things, when He gave His own Son, so He could give us all things? I know if I sacrificed my son for someone else, I wouldn't let that sacrifice go to waste. I would do my best, for that sacrifice to be life long. I don't have a child anyway, but you get the point. Who can lay anything to the charge of God's elect? No one can, because God, justifies us! Satan, will blame things on us, "He'll say you committed the unpardonable and you're screwed!" However, he can't make that judgment on us, because we're God's elect and God, wouldn't let us commit the unpardonable! It's Christ, on the right hand of God, that condemns, not Satan! Satan, wants to make us feel condemned, but he really has nothing on us! He has nothing on us, because Christ, is on the right hand of God, praying for us! It's not us, holding ourselves up, it's Christ, through us! Satan, wants to make us feel condemned, well here's what my wife said, that makes sense, "We never did anything right, in the first place to be saved. So, how can Satan, use our mistakes against us?" We're saved from our mistakes, because the work on the cross was greater, than our mistakes. God's love through Christ, is greater! Jesus, did not come for His sacrifice to go to waste. He did not come to condemn the world, but to save it! That means you do not have to feel condemned! Times will come, when Satan, comes to make us feel condemned. However, we must not let his plans come into effect. We must stop it, right when it starts. I let him get to me sometimes and when I dwell on it and believe his condemnation, I fall deeper and deeper into it. I get so deep into it, I want to give up. Sound familiar? Well, Satan, wants you to give up. He wants your walk with God, to be a walk of condemnation. It doesn't have to be that way! When you ask for forgiveness, it's your's! We all have trouble with this in our walk, but it can and will change! We must choose to walk a walk of condemnation or one of victory and love! Say no to condemnation! However, even though you say no to condemnation, you must still say no to sin. Stay away from sin and seek righteousness. If you do that, things will only get better. If you sin willfully, things will get worse. See devotion, "Sin Is Condemned, Not You!"

Prayer: Father, please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive those who've wronged us. We ask that you'd lift all condemnation and guilt from your children, right now in Jesus' name! We together, believe you will lift this burden off our shoulders. In Jesus, name. A-men!

God bless!
