Sin Is Condemned, Not You!
Friday's Devotion (8-1-03)
"For what the law could not
do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the
likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the
righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit." Romans 8:3-4 (KJV)
The law is there, to tell us what's wrong and what's right. We wouldn't know what sin was, if not for the law. The law pointed out the rights and wrongs. However, the judges, judge and sentence people for their crimes, but the judges themselves are not perfect either. My point is we have a law system, that makes arrests and etc, but they're really no better than the ones they arrest. They couldn't condemn sin, because they have sin. All they can do is enforce the law. It took the coming of the perfect one without sin, (Christ). To condemn sin in the flesh. Even though He came in the flesh, He didn't live by the law of the flesh, which is sin. He lived by the law of the Spirit, which is righteousness. Since Christ, came we no longer have to walk after the flesh. We now have the choice to either walk after the flesh or after the Holy Spirit. Meaning sin can either have no effect on us, because we're dead to it, through Jesus or sin can control our lives. We either follow what's right or what's wrong. There is a penalty when we sin and don't repent (Ask for forgiveness and turn from sin.) That penalty is death (Eternal Hell fire.) Jesus, came so we would have life and have it more abundantly. Meaning we don't have to feel condemned, everytime we make a mistake. Meaning through the blood of Jesus, we are forgiven. The law of the Spirit, is not condemnation. When you feel condemned, that is your sinful flesh! God, doesn't condemn those who come to Him and ask for forgiveness. God, has a covenant that is written in His Word, that convenant is to forgive those who seek Him and ask for forgiveness! God, can't lie so when you ask for forgiveness, know that you have gotten it! However, the Holy Spirit, will point out to us, what we're doing wrong. Simply to get us to turn from that sin and ask for forgiveness. Not to make us feel condemned. Satan, will come in after the Holy Spirit, corrects us and he'll make you feel guilty and condemned. You must know condemnation, is from the flesh and Satan, not from God. There is no condemnation, for those in Christ Jesus! Remember, sin is condemned, not you! However, if you continue in sin and do not repent, you'll reap death from it and you will go to Hell! I don't support people purposely sinning all the time and expecting to be forgiven, when they continue in sin. That's not Biblical. Read the whole chapter of Romans: 8. It's a very uplifting chapter. Once you've read it, I'd like to hear from you on our message board. I'd like to hear from you, anyway. If you'd like to support this ministry, all you need to do is post a comment on our message board. I like to hear comments from people, it keeps me going and lets me know you're reading my devotions. It's very encouraging to know, if I'm making any kind of impact. Thank you!
God bless!
Hope you enjoyed. Please post your thoughts on this topic, on the
