Rest In God's Love!

Sunday's Devotion (7-27-03)

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)

We all get tempted in our walk with God, but God, is there for us through it all. He doesn't let us get tempted beyond what we are able. Some of us are able to handle much more than others, so don't be discouraged if someone else got delivered from the samething you're going through sooner than you. That just simply means you can handle more. Sometimes we do fall to temptation, but not real serious temptation, that will cost us our souls. God, wouldn't let that happen. However, the temptations that do overtake us our the ones common to man. For example sometimes humans eat too much because the food was good. Humans fall to much worse temptation than that too, like fornication or adultery. He won't let our temptation get so bad, that we just give up. I've been through some bad temptation and I still go through it, but I'm going to claim this promise from God's Word! God, has made away out for me as He will for you or anybody else! Just claim it and believe it, no matter what! Sometimes it can seem like God, is a million trillion miles away. It seems that way because we can't spiritually see Him. A brother in Christ, once told me, "You don't know He's there, but He is. It's like this: You're a new born baby and God, is your Father. You can't see Him, because He's holding you in His arms close to His chest, just like a baby. The Baby can't see the Father's face, but that doesn't mean the Father, isn't there." The baby can't see the Father's face because the Father, is holding the child too close. God, is holding us close and watching out for us! God, will see us through any temptation, because we're His little babies. If you're a parent, would you let your child put more in His mouth than they could chew? They would choke, if you did. So, if you're a loving parent, who wouldn't let your kid put more in their mouth, than they could chew, than how much more will God, save us from temptation? God, is love and He loves us more than anyone could love anyone or anything. Rest in God's love for you! I hope this message helps put you at ease and helps you to trust, God. I think I've said all, that needs to be said.

Prayer: Dear Father, we pray that you'd forgive us of all our sins and we forgive those who've wronged us. We ask that you'd keep us from temptation and help us to rest in your loving arms. Help us all to be closer to you. Thank you, for everything. In Jesus, name. A-men!

God bless!
