Don't Fall To False Doctrines!

Saturday's Devotion (6-21-03)

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not.  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:23-27 (KJV)

This is another reason, we need to read our bibles. If we don't know the tricks of the devil, we will be deceived. Many are deceived, they believe Christ, came again and met them secretly or they believe Christ, met someone else in secret. Let's say, you never read your bible and don't know about this scripture. Then someone comes up to you and says, "I am the great I am! I am the Christ!" You might say, "Yeah, right! Get lost!" Then the next minute, he's showing you great signs and wonders. Then you probably would fall for this trick. I know if I didn't know the Word, I'd fall for it! You might say, "Who would fake and act like, Christ? Who would be able to do that and show great signs?" It has been done and in fact, there is a whole religion about it. There's a whole religion that believes a man, met Christ, in the wilderness! These people are very deceived and I'm not afraid to say it. You have to be careful, not to go by man's beliefs, but the bible's. There are people out there waiting to deceive, whoever doesn't know God's Word. Maybe these people are just deceived themselves or they just work for Satan. None the less, they are out there and we're the targets. There was a time, when I never read the bible and didn't know the Word. I ran into a man, who was very deceiving and I'll admit, he had me deceived. Thank God, my wife knew enough to keep me from being deceived! Since that time, I have been a faithful reader of God's Word! I'm trying to keep this from happening to you! I'm trying to get every Christian, into reading God's Word, daily! Maybe you don't have someone like my wife to keep you from getting deceived or maybe time they find out, you've been deceived, it's too late! People get so into these false religions, it's hard to show them the truth. The truth is in the bible and that's the only place! The truth, is not in any other book, but the bible. It's not in some book someone claims, goes with the bible. If anyone tells you "Christ, is here!" Don't believe them and don't go with them. Stay away from these people that say this too. I don't care if it's your own family, stay away! You might think I'm a nut, but let me tell you why. If you hang around with people that follow false doctrines or go to their churches, you will fall into their trap! It will make you doubt, your own beliefs and want to try theirs and this isn't good! Stick to the bible. A woman, wanted to make her Christian husband mad and she was a Christian herself. So she began going to an off the wall religion's church, just to get her husband's goat. Anyway, she did something unplanned. She started buying into their doctrine and denying the real truth! She bought into their doctrine, because she opened the doors for doubt of the bible's truth. She played with the devil and he didn't want to play. Stay away from these false doctrines and don't believe anything that goes against the bible!

The part of these scriptures that say, "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Pretty much mean, when Jesus, comes all will see it. People on the east and west will see it and not just one or a few. Everyone will see His coming!
